ShoutFyre Podcast #13
Just posted the latest podcast titled Fear of Failure by Robert W Hickey & Bill Love.
Are you afraid of failure? Is this keeping you from starting your next project? Do you even realize that this is happening? We're here to help.
I don't know about others, but fear of failure got burned out of me pretty early on. I would say part of that is probably having an altered sense of what failure entails maybe? I figure if I get the book out, like done, published, available for consumption, then it can't be a failure. Does that mean it's a huge commercial success? Nah, but if I was doing this for strictly for money it would be a different game altogether, honestly. I won't lie, everyone likes to get paid, myself included, but I don't look at a comic idea and say "yeah this would be huge, let's do it.". I look at a comic idea and think "would I read that and dig it?" If yes, then off we go. My main thing in making comics stems from having fun doing it. If I'm not having fun, I'm done with it.
